Our mission is to maintain a vibrant gallery scene, despite restrictions on travel, celebrations and other larger gatherings. We want to support our artists by informing and entertaining curators, collectors and critics with potent online exhibitions of their work.
On the first Thursday of every month, we will launch 8 shows of artists relevant to the Bay Area. They may be working in this place, long considered an epicenter of change, or deeply engaged in the conversations the Bay Area holds dear, whether it’s related to technology, the environment, social justice or sexual identity, to name a few. In addition, each month will highlight the crucial work of a Bay Area non-profit arts organization.

For the final three ICA Social Club programs we will be hearing from artists ICA curators have their eyes on – their ‘art crushes.’ Each program will feature five or six rapid-fire studio visits, sort of like speed dating the artists. You’ll get an overview of their practice and will hear about their work in the ICA Social Club Auction. Program attendees will get early access to the ICA Social Club Auction page for a first look at auction artworks. Our first Speed Dating the Artists program features Maria Paz, Terri Friedman, Anna Valdez, Alyson Shotz, and Caroline Kent.
Altman Siegel is excited to host a public discussion over zoom with New Orleans based artist Zarouhie Abdalian and curators Jackie Clay (Coleman Center), Jenny Gheith (SFMOMA) and Xiaoyu Weng (Guggenheim). We can decide, Zarouhie Abdalian’s solo exhibition currently on view at the gallery, will act as a prompt for this group conversation amongst friends and colleagues. Pieces featured in the exhibition will be discussed in context of work the participants have done together in the past.

Tune in for a conversation with visionaries Virgil Abloh and Moved by the Motion, a zine-making story with artist Alicia McCarthy and her Oakland contemporaries, unforgettable virtual performances by Tycho, The Younger Lovers, and other musical guests streaming live from SFMOMA, and more.
Monday evening's conversation with creative force Virgil Abloh and Moved by the Motion collaborators Tosh Basco, Josh Johnson, Asma Maroof, and Wu Tsang is hosted by SFMOMA Curator of Contemporary Art Eungie Joo. Abloh is Chief Creative Director and founder of Off-White, and Men’s Artistic Director at Louis Vuitton. Moved by the Motion is a loosely affiliated "band” of interdisciplinary artists creating live performance and film since 2013; it frequently includes Wu Tsang, Tosh Basco, Patrick Belaga, Josh Johnson, Asma Maroof, and Fred Moten.
Join Alicia McCarthy as she bikes between studios and galleries asking them to contribute to a new zine. Follow as she meets with Real Time and Space artists Conrad Guevara and Kate Rhoades, then Tosha Stimage’s Saint Flora, with a stop at pt. 2 gallery for a peek into their creative process.
A thank-you event, with an auction of works by Wayne Thiebaud, Charles Gaines, Wolfgang Tillmans, Hiroshi Sugimoto, and Hung Liu. Funds directly support SFMOMA's mission to present the art of our time to the greater community.

May's SF Artists Alumni Global Meetup is focused on Labor and Immigration, hosted by Shokai Sinclair, Rocky Mountains & High Plains liaison; and Eleni Exarchou, Greece liaison. The guest speaker for this alumni meetup is Zeese Papanikolas, author, and former SFAI faculty.
