San José Museum of Art – 2021 Gala + Auction

Don’t miss San José Museum of Art’s 2021 Gala + Auction, a virtual celebration of art and philanthropy to raise critical funds for SJMA on Saturday, September 18 at 6pm PDT. Highlights of the evening include an auction of 24 artworks and the world premiere of “Build or Destroy” (2021), a newly commissioned NFT and video work by Oakland-based artist Rashaad Newsome. This year, SJMA honors critically acclaimed artist Rina Banerjee, dedicated SJMA patrons Mary Mocas and Marv Tseu, with a tribute to the late artist and SJMA Trustee Hung Liu. Proceeds from the event will support SJMA with 10% of the proceeds going to the Asian Pacific Fund.
